Mobile foot care is a clinical, nurse-based service, that brings medical-grade foot and nail care to seniors in their home, assisted living facility, or care community. This service helps to bridge the gap between cosmetic pedicures and podiatry visits, focusing on hygiene, preventative care, and monitoring for early complications or wound healing.
What is included in a mobile foot care appointment?
As a standard in nursing care, infection control is of the highest importance, and is strictly adhered to with our mobile foot care services. Medical grade cleaning and sterilization is applied to all tools used for services provided to prevent the spread of bacteria or fungus.
Who can benefit from mobile foot care?
Initial appointments generally require more time than follow up appointments, as the assessment and documentation may take longer for new clients. Plan for an hour to an hour and a half for the initial appointment, and less than an hour for follow up appointments, unless new concerns arise.
Note - this service is water-free, as soaking feet is not recommended for many chronic conditions, and does not include toenail painting.
